My first attempt at truly narrative illustration can be seen in these interpretations of several characters and scenes from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. My goals were to work with my chosen media in a few different ways, and to find a way to represent these well known characters in a way that was different but recognizable to those familiar with both the novel and the 1939 MGM film.
